cooking shows vs porn

with a lot of time on my hands I have been considering what sensual gratification society is willing to accept and ones that they are not.

cooking shows have bad camera work, plenty of mm and moaning and music with odd base lines. I don't see how people who can watch the food channel could possibly not love porn. though if a rich tomato sauce gets you off, you may have done something very wrong in the petit mort moments of your life, but who am I to judge.

over all I prefer the open passion that is displayed in a cooking show, if that were displayed more in the porn I think it would be more enjoyable. of course 4 inch stilettos could be added to a cooking show ans make it more exciting. a thought to think about.

another thing is you don't hear about great historical works about a great casserole that was written about.

As a first blog entry this seems pretty fluffy. it will get better I am sure.... I hope.

how to make a vanilla latte

O kay in economic crunch I have rationed my latte purchases. Unfortunately that has make me rather sad, because I really like them. So I make them at home for a fraction of the cost and double the impression.

equipment you will need:

top of the stove espresso maker ( less that 5 bucks at winners)

a milk frother ( mine looks like a french press but manufacture says it is for frothing, and so says my mom)

espresso ( on sale it is less than the cost of a grande)

milk ( I use 2 % because 1% and skim froths like shit, and I like froth)
microwave

sugar ( or sugar sub)

vanilla (the best you can get, I have some brought back for me by a friend on vacation)

step one
heat the milk in a heat safe cup, use your microwave... no one will ever know!

step 2

start espresso

*follow manufactures instructions for the size maker you have

a note on the espresso maker, it will get dirty and not look nice, from what I read that is just how it is, when it get to the point you need a new one, go get it

step 3

add sugar and vanilla to taste to the heated milk

pour milk into frother cup, use pumping motion (this should be self explanatory) you want to add the sugar and vanilla here so you have a pretty drink at the end.
Pour into serving cups

step4
add espresso,

go nuts making espresso art

voila!

forced to take creative leave

So work has slowed down, like in so many other places, to a snail crawl. It means a lot of things. a bit more stress for me, a lot more time for painting ect, less money for fun things, (that part really sucks).

I am going to take a creative course in march so I have an option of a part time job that I like, and may have to get. I am pretty excited about that.

my house is still in stagnation in regards to the renovation/ upgrading. Though i was worried that prices have dropped, in my neighborhood they have stayed the same, so I am still feeling good about that choice. Other good news is that for 54 days I have had no furnace issues. That has been wonderful!

I have been scrap booking like a mad person lately, and really enjoying it. I really like to take the pictures then the "what to do with them now "sets in. No more!

so much for like a rock

it seems the stability that I was clinging to has once again been thrown to the wind.

This summer I bought a house

not just any house, a fixer upper and now I am "enjoying" the benefits of the character that age brings to a building

honestly I love it
its little and it will be very cute
it needs a lot of work
I have lived in much worse, sad but true, and at least this one is mine.

so prepare for design and reno blogs ( lucky)

I think I am writting this mostly to be a journal of the adventure

so far this summer I have been working too much to do a lot of work on it, but its a catch 22, no work no money to fix up my house.

so far I have:
fixed a broken bolt on my toilet
replaced all the innards of said toilet
learned how to plumb
planed doors to fit
installed weather stripping
painted
scrubbed
replaced a fan motor
unblocked clogged pipes
reassembled gated

not bad I have to say.

the whole thing about getting everything in place was a nightmare though. One of the worst experiences of my life. ever

Update

I have been....busy

It looks like spring might actually be here. that makes me happier than words can express. Maybe 3 months with out snow will make my little corner of northern Canada a happier place.

actually in the greater realm of my reality not much is new.
thing are new in worlds around me, but mine has stayed euphorically stable for about a year now. A stable year. one whole year with out some kind of huge change seems unreal and unheard of in my life. but here it is. lovely!

I started taking a running THING with Jen, she wanted support....

first I am a round Canadian white girl going into winter. I am getting ready to do what I do best for the last couple years, hibernate.

I thought the THING was for beginning runners... till I met the man who is teaching the THING.

" I am the #30 fastest man on earth"
" I can run 20 kilometers in 1 hour and 13 minutes"
"my dog runs with me when I run 80 km if its not too hot for him"

I run when I am being chased or I am scared and let me tell you this little man terrifies me....

next week we have to run 5 minutes straight, I couldn't run 2.

but I did run 3 kilometers.... more than I have ever ran before.
I can see it on his face that he doesn't think I can do this.

I will chalk this all up to experience.

People are going to hate this but

I don't hate this heat.
its kind of a neat sensation
Here in the north we spend so much time cold, that this 33 heat is stifling yes, but in other parts of the world this is normal
yes it make me sweat
and work is really rather not fun because of it
but I kind of enjoy it
I have a fan
and I can drink water
I may be able to get used to this!

OMFG

SO some story needs to go into this one before you read on.
first I work with a guy named Jim I can not tell you where.....

so Jim is a bit loopy, and to prove it this was on his desk the other day. At first glance it seems ok, a emergency action plan is a good thing.. til you start to read it.

the scary part is that he actually took time to think about these things. and its ok I blew it up so it is easier to read.

A Hurricane?? are you serious we live in the prairies!
nuclear blast,, sorry we ain't EVAC in anywhere
and yes below that says Maelstrom...raining fireballs from the sky.... hide under something? LMAO
I had to look up escrima stick.. its lacquered bamboo..... :/ and a machete. who picks a stick and a knife as weapons of choice "if necessary"?

I could goon and on about this.... I love how the food is all in cans... but no can opener, and toy...ball..... omg.. and why couldn;t they leave in one vehicle? you would think you would want to be together if there is fire raining out of the sky.

jen's birthday

it rained, no go carts

so instead we played cards drank ate and had an all around great time! pics to follow.

Anthem for the needy/want theory

I Need You
I wanna drink that shot of whiskey
I wanna smoke that cigarette
I wanna smell that sweet addiction on my breathe
I wanna ride across West Virginia in the back seat of a Cadillac
You know some cowboys like me go out like that

So I need you
Like a needle needs a vein
Like my uncle Joe in Oklahoma needs a rain
And I need you
Like a lighthouse needs a coast
Like the father and the son need the Holy Ghost
I need you

I wanna get lost in some corner booth
In a Cantina Mexico
I wanna dance to the static of an AM radio
I wanna wrap the moon around us,
lay beside you skin on skin
Make love til the sun comes up,
til the sun goes down again

Cause I need you
Like a needle needs a vein
Like my uncle Joe in Oklahoma needs a rain
I need youLike a lighthouse needs a coast
Like the father and the son need the Holy Ghost
I need you, OOH I need you

I wanna drink that shot of whiskey
I wanna smoke that cigarette
You know some cowboys like me go out like that
So I need you, whoa I need you
I need you I need you I need you, I need you

today I discovered wine in a tetra pack....
I now see the future of the world!
I can not wait though till they come in juice box size...... the snobs are going to be heard saying, yes 2007 was a fine year but really, couldn't they include a bendy straw?
The wino in me is jubilant for that day!

hmmm, I got flowers today. I love flowers. they were won in a draw. it was all very random, but who am I to look a gift bouquet in the mouth?

Jen and I went grocery shopping, spent a lovely morning drinking coffee, discussing the disgustingness of various types of 'gurt. Honestly who ever thought that letting milk go bad and putting fruit in it would be a huge health fad.... I bet it was those goat farmers. they have always been a little weird.

She also shared with me her relationship need/needed equilibrium theory...... and I came to the conclusion I don't have very many relationships..... could be because I don't need to be needed, or are reluctant to need the unneeded, or need the needy to need me.... you would have thought we were making bread with the amount that we were talking about needing...

so it was an enthralling day of random bit of the universe flying at me.

and it was sunny.
